Well to ensure those juicy long-term, consistent profits is we need to source better online arbitrage deals and the sure-fire way to do that is to build a quality leads list.

So let's walk through why building an online arbitrage sourcing list is important, what it actually means and how you can do it!

How Does Amazon Online Arbitrage Work?

I've written about both Online Arbitrage and Retail Arbitrage before, if you fancy some extra bedtime reading. Both methods require you to resell on Amazon, the main difference is in the actual product sourcing.

Amazon online arbitrage is the process of sourcing products from one online retailer and selling them on Amazon FBA for a higher price. This can be a great way to earn extra money, or even to start a full-fledged online business.

How Online Arbitrage Works

The key to successful Amazon arbitrage is finding products that are being sold for less than they're worth on the retail market. This requires some research on your part, as you'll need to compare the prices of similar products across different retailers.

Once you've found a product that you think you can sell for a profit, it's time to list it on Amazon FBA.

There's plenty of Amazon FBA software tools that can help you out with your online arbitrage sourcing, but the ability to compile a killer online arbitrage sourcing list is a very lucrative skill.

What Are Online Arbitrage Leads?

Now that you know what online arbitrage is and how it works, you're probably wondering how to find good online arbitrage deals. This is where the term online arbitrage leads originates from.

Online arbitrage leads are simply lists of potential products and vendors that you can source and sell on Amazon. These lists are created by experienced online arbitrageurs, and they can be a great way to jumpstart your sourcing efforts.

Buying an online arbitrage sourcing list isn't always a sure thing, but over time and with some experience you'll be able to build your own sourcing list.

Building a Quality Online Arbitrage Sourcing List

There are a few different ways to get your hands on decent online arbitrage leads lists. You can buy them from a lead generation service, which I will cover further below, or you can generate them yourself using a software tool like Tactical Arbitrage or SellerAmp.

If you decide to generate your own arbitrage list, the process is actually quite simple but you'll just need to dedicate some time to the process. This is where a good support team comes in handy, but I understand that many Amazon sellers run their full time arbitrage business on their lonesome.

So to start with, you'll need to create a list of online retailers that you want to search. This can be done by visiting websites like Amazon and eBay to see what's selling, and then looking for retailers that offer products similar to what you're interested in selling.

Once you have your list of retailers, it's time to start searching for products. As I mentioned above, you'll want to use a software tool like Tactical Arbitrage or SellerAmp.  Tactical Arbitrage will allow you to search multiple retailers at once while SellerAmp can help with reverse searching and even sourcing directly from a retail site.

While these software tools aren't free, they are well worth the investment. Tactical Arbitrage does offer a 10-day free-trial (use code CLEARTHESHELF) so it's relatively risk free if you'd like to try it out.

When you find a product online that you think you can sell for a profit, simply add it to your "leads" list. Once you have a decent sized list of leads, it's time to start sourcing products!

Sourcing good online arbitrage deals is the life-blood of your FBA business, so having a bunch quality sourcing lists in various product categories is valuable asset.

Why Buy an Amazon Online Arbitrage Sourcing List?

Like anything in life, many people like to take the easy road and will look for opportunities to avoid hard work.

I don't say this like it's a bad thing.

We only get 24 hours in a day so taking shortcuts is sometimes the path to a more profitable end-result for your online arbitrage business.

Here's why buying an Amazon FBA online arbitrage list can be a great option:

  • Potential to discover new sources, leading to better online arbitrage deals.
  • Seeing what other “professional” sellers might consider as lucrative leads or deals.
  • Learning about unknown sales or special deals that will result in more profit
  • Having a starting place for “rabbit trails” to find additional products or different listings (bundles, multipacks)
  • Saving time, which can often be better spent on other parts of the business.
  • Future leads (saving leads from lists to source again in the future)

13 Places to Buy Amazon Online Arbitrage Sourcing Lists

Not all lists are created equal. In fact, many of them are simply rehashed versions of other lists that have been circulating for years. Yep, there's some folk out there doing dodgy deals and selling crappy sourcing lists.

And while I am making some recommendations here, I can never guarantee what you'll get in each list so buyer beware! The vendors listed below however have had good reviews in the past.

I have also added a "recommended" note for leads lists that i have personally evaluated and believe in.

Online Arbitrage Lead Lists

The price of the leads lists can vary greatly and the way in which you receive the details can vary too. Some list sellers just give you the entire list all at once and others charge a monthly fee and send a certainly amount of new leads per day or a guaranteed amount per month.

Are There Any Guarantees When Buying an Arbitrage Leads List?

Many of the vendors will offer different guarantees, but they're all different so you will need to do some research.

The following criteria and features should be considered when buying leads:

The Number of Leads You're Going to Get

Whilst quality is better than quantity, you want to make sure you are getting a decent amount of leads for your money. Most services will offer somewhere around 10 leads per day, but they often only send access to the lists Monday-Friday so you can expect around 200 leads per month in total.

Minimum Profit Margin and ROI Guarantees

Because the lists are thoroughly researched, you will usually get a minimum profit guarantee based on the purchase price of the products and the current selling price on Amazon.

The Number of Sellers That Will Also Receive The Leads

Unless you are paying top dollar or sourcing the leads yourself, other sellers are going to be sent the same deals every day. Most list vendors will only send the same list to 30 or 40 other sellers so it's not going to be hugely saturated.

BSR Rank Guarantee

A reputable lead vendor will only include deals for products with an Amazon sales rank in the top 1% or 2%.

Lists Are Vetted for IP Complaint Risks

If you've read my recent article about IP Alerts, you'll be aware that some brands just love to make IP complaints so we simply avoid them altogether. Any leads you buy should have been vetted and should not be for brands that are well-known for IP complaints.

It's important to note that you might get leads in a certain category that requires ungating, so be prepared for that.

Sourcing List Price

I've left this one for last on purpose. The price is all relative to what you actually receive and how many good deals you get from the leads you buy. Some lists of leads will sell for a flat price of $20 whereas other services will have a price tag of $200 per month or more.

I'm not afraid to pay good money for a lead that's going to help me find a good deal, as long as I can still turn a profit at the end of the day!

Frequently Asked Questions

What Category Will the Leads Be In?

Most of the time the lists you buy will be in a variety of categories, but what you want to make sure as a bare minimum is that they are not in a category restricted by Amazon or that they don't include brands that are known to lodge IP complaints against arbitrage sellers.

Many of the leads are in the Clothing, Shoes, Health, Beauty, Toys, Home and Kitchen categories, which are generally fine for most sellers.

Ultimately it shouldn't matter what category the leads are in, as long as the list has some good deals that cane help you make some profitable sales!

Do I Need to be Located in the US?

Whilst many of the leads will be located in the US, its online arbitrage so you can be located anywhere in the world. Retail arbitrage is a different story because you physically source the goods from retail stores. This is just another reason why I love online arbitrage.

Does Amazon Allow Online Arbitrage?

Yes they do! There is no law that forbids you from buying and reselling goods. Some brands might try and stop you, and there are some brands you need to avoid selling on Amazon altogether, but many people run profitable Amazon arbitrage businesses.

Heck yes you can! Amazon FBA in general can be a very profitable business and if you're an online arbitrage seller, you can work from the comfort of your own home without ever having to touch the products you're selling.
