Top Amazon Seller Software Tools for 2024

By Christopher Grant

Updated December 14, 2023

There's so many options these days when it comes to Amazon seller software, and if I was to buy every single Amazon software tool on the market, two things would happen.

1) I'd spend more time tinkering with all my software than I would actually making money and building a business.

and

2) I'd be broke as a joke.

But this doesn't mean software is bad. In fact, choosing a few specialty pieces of software to add into your Amazon business is almost critical for success.

The first thing we're going to start with in this guide is my top 3 "must have" Amazon software tools. Then we'll continue to review a heap of other tools that are great, but not every single one of them is necessary for your business all of the time.

Let's start with my top 3 picks.

Chris Grant's Top 3 Amazon Seller Software Picks

Tactical Arbitrage

The ultimate product sourcing tool, Tactical Arbitrage is your 24/7 workhouse that finds you profitable products to sell on Amazon.

CTS readers get a special Tactical Arbitrage discount with code 'CLEARTHESHELF'

Keepa

Keepa is the only Amazon price tracking tool you need for your business. Over 3 billion products tracked, and counting.

In my opinion, it's difficult to run an Amazon business without a tool like Keepa!

Aura Repricer

If you want your fair share of the Amazon buy box then having a repricing tool is a must. Aura is my pick of the bunch (and there's a lot of repricer tools to choose from!)

CTS readers get a special Aura Repricer discount with code 'CTS'

If all you did was subscribe to those 3 tools, you wouldn't be sending yourself broke and you would have everything you need to launch a successful Amazon selling business!

Now let's take a look at more tools, in more detail.

Sourcing Tools

Tactical Arbitrage

Tactical Arbitrage

What it Does:

One of the most powerful tools an Amazon seller can have in their arsenal, Tactical Arbitrage is the ultimate sourcing tool for online arbitrage sellers.

How Much it Costs:

Tactical Arbitrage has 5 different subscription plans, the cheapest being $59 per month and the most expensive being $129 per month.

You'll save up to 26% on these prices by paying annually, and I have a Tactical Arbitrage discount code just for Clear The Shelf readers to take advantage of.

Who it's for:

Online arbitrage sellers will reap the benefits of a powerful tool like Tactical Arbitrage. You can literally source products while you sleep. There's a bit of a learning curve but once you are setup and scanning the internet for products to source and sell on Amazon, your mind will be blown at just how great Tactical Arbitrage is. Many people like to buy online arbitrage leads lists in addition to using something like Tactical Arbitrage.

Product Research Tools

Keepa

Keepa

What it Does:

Keepa is the holy grail of sales data for Amazon products. I use it religiously to explore sales price history, BSR data, and to track prices on Amazon. It can also help you manually source and parse data using the Keepa Product Finder.

You can also find Amazon to Amazon flips by checking the deals section.

And so much more. Keepa really is king when it comes to being an Amazon seller.

How Much it Costs:

Keepa used to be a completely free tool believe it or not. Keepa does have a free option but to get the best use out of it, they charge 19 euros per month which equates to just over $20 USD per month.

Who it's for:

Anyone and everyone selling on Amazon should use Keepa. Learning how to read a Keepa chart is pretty straight-forward and once you get the hang of it, your mind will be opened up to all the Amazon price history data you could ever ask for.

Keyword Research Tools

KeywordTool.io

Keyword Tool

What it Does:

KeywordTool.io is more than just an Amazon keyword tool, but the Amazon portion of it is robust and one of the more popular tools around. You can also use Keyword Tool to check search volume across a number of websites like Google, eBay, Bing, YouTube, and more.

Keyword Tool uses Amazon's autocomplete feature to generate a relevant keywords for you. These keywords can then be used for Amazon listing keyword optimization.

How Much it Costs:

Keyword Tool has a free option which is ok, but to really get the most out of it you should consider subscribing to their pro options which start at $89 per month, or $69 per month if you pay annually.

Who it's for:

It might seem expensive if you're only using it for Amazon keyword research, but even so this software can help all sorts of sellers from private label experts to FBA business owners.

My personal, honest opinion on this though is that a keyword tool is a "nice-to-have", but definitely not a critical requirement for Amazon sellers.

Seller Scanner Apps

Scoutify 2 / InventoryLab

Scoutify 2 by InventoryLab

What it Does:

Scoutify 2 is one of the better Amazon seller scanner apps out there, but it actually comes as package deal with InventoryLab which is an amazing inventory management software.

How Much it Costs:

InventoryLab starts at $69 per month, or $57.50 per month if paid annually, and that includes Scoutify 2.

Who it's for:

Retail arbitrage sellers absolutely need a scanner app and in my opinion, Scoutify 2 is the best one. If you're serious about your Amazon business then you should also be using something like InventoryLab, in which case you'll get even more bang for your buck.

Repricer Tools

Aura Repricer

Aura Repricer

What it Does:

If you want to succeed as an Amazon seller then your product listing pricing game needs to be strong. A tool like Aura works while you are sleeping and reprices your listings based on a heap of factors. The main aim is to get your fair share of the Amazon buy box, which ultimately leads to a lot more sales.

How Much it Costs:

Aura costs $97 per month, or $77 per month when paid annually. They also offer a 14-day free trial.

Who it's for:

Any Amazon seller with a moderate amount of listings needs to have a repricing tool. It's a major time suck trying to constantly managing your pricing strategy so it makes sense to have a powerful tool like Aura repricer doing the hard work for you.

Bookkeeping & Accounting Software Tools

Bench.co

Bench.co Accounting

What it Does:

Bench is not only an accounting software, but it's also a bookkeeping service. This is the key difference when comparing to something like Xero or Quickbooks (which I stopped using when I joined Bench).

You get specialists working on your accounting needs for you and thinks like your monthly and year-end finances are taken care of, in addition to your P&L, balance sheet and 1099 reporting.

How Much it Costs:

Depending on your needs, there's two different subscription options with Bench. The Essential plan will set you back $349 per month, or just $199 per month if you pay annually.

For more advanced users, the Premium plan is $299 per month paid annually. There is no monthly payment option for this.

Who it's for:

Anyone running any sort of business needs accounting and bookkeeping services, so if you don't already have an affordable and reliable one in place then Bench might just be a great option for you.

Quickbooks

Quickbooks

What it Does:

It does your books, really fast. 😉 In all seriousness, Quickbooks is a popular bookkeeping and accounting software to help you manage your books and make tax time a lot easier.

How Much it Costs:

Quickbooks has 4 main pricing tiers, starting at $30 per month and going up to $200 per month for the advanced plan. They also offer a 50% discount for the first three months. A 30 day free trial is currently available for users.

Who it's for:

Well, anyone running an Amazon business needs to lodge and pay taxes right? Using a tool like Quickbooks is going to help stay organized and will make your life a lot easier in the long run. There's a lot of options with this software and while there's lots of accounting systems available, Quickbooks is a good option.

It's important to note that Quickbooks is purely a piece of software. You'll still need to do your bookkeeping, or have someone do it for you, which is why I actually stopped using Quickbooks and moved over to Bench.co.

Conclusion - Amazon Seller Tools

You may have noticed that I didn't list off each and every Amazon seller tool known to man. There's a couple of reasons for this.

1) I don't want to inundate and confuse you. This generally leads to overwhelm, and no good decision are ever made in that place. 🙂

2) I only recommend tools that I have used myself, or that have come very highly recommended from my trusted colleagues.

The entire aim of this Amazon blog is to cut through the noise and share my experiences and opinions with loyal readers, so I do hope that you got something out of reading this guide today!
